Often materials helps guide the content of my work. When not painting with paint and brushes, I like to construct images out of collaged papers, ink, graphite, charcoal and cold wax.  Regardless of medium,  it is the process of  addition and subtraction that consumes and inspires and ultimately brings meaning into focus.
